
Guest Lecture at Sathyabama University – April 2013
As a part of the Industry – University partnership initiative, Mrs. Latha Sankaran, Project Leader in Business Analytics division of Coromandel Infotech, was invited for a guest lecture by Sathyabama University, one of Chennai’s premier private University. The lecture was delivered on the topic, “Introduction to Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence”, to the post graduate students at the University on April 12th, 2013.
Mrs. Latha started with an overview of Enterprise Resource Planning. Then she introduced important concepts of Data Warehousing to the students at length and finally concluded by discussing different facets of Business Intelligence. This was followed by an interactive Question and Answer session. The students found the session to be very useful and participated actively.
The Sathyabama University management thanked Mrs. Latha and Coromandel Infotech for this noble contribution of knowledge enrichment to students. The University has also extended an invitation to Coromandel Infotech for their forthcoming Workshops and Seminars.

C2IL bags the first Direct Benefits Transfer project– April 2013
Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT), a nomenclature broader than its earlier version - Direct Cash Transfer - is the ambitious scheme from the Government of India for channelling subsidies to eligible beneficiaries through bank accounts with Aadhaar numbers.
During the first phase of implementation, 43 districts spread across 16 states have been selected. Of the 5 districts allotted, Andhra Bank has chosen Coromandel Infotech as the end to end service provider in Chittoor & Ranga Reddy districts of Andhra Pradesh.
This marks a significant beginning for Coromandel Infotech as a prominent service provider in the DBT project space, as the Government of India proposes to introduce this facility across all the districts of the country by March 2014.
InCise EAM on SaaS model – April 2013
Coromandel Infotech has signed the first deal for InCise EAM on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model with a major engineering firm that provides professional and contracting services to power plants, petroleum, chemical, steel and cement industries.
InCise EAM, the Asset Life-cycle Management system from Coromandel Infotech, was chosen to maximize the performance of complex assets and align them with overall business strategy of the organization. Initially, the system will be implemented and maintained at 7 sites.
With the introduction of InCise EAM on SaaS model, the total cost of ownership for the application would be considerably reduced. Coromandel Infotech has invested in state-of-the-art hardware infrastructure for this purpose and the customers will not have the trouble of maintaining servers at their end.
InCise EAM, which is also available as on-premise model, offers extensive multi-organization tools to manage several tasks and departments from one integrated solution. It helps in reducing cost through effective systems management, comprehensive work-order functions and easy-to use scheduling tools.
Financial Messaging Gateway Solution Goes Live – March 2013
The BFSI team at Coromandel Infotech has successfully implemented the Financial Messaging Gateway (FMG) solution projects from Union Bank of India and Andhra Bank, under very stringent timelines.
FMG has been integrated with the Core Banking System (CBS) of the Banks and the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) Switch using ISO 8583 message formats. Also the Central Biometric Authentication Server has been deployed to carry out online fingerprint authentication.
With these integrations, Financial Messaging Gateway can process the following financial transactions in real-time originating from FI TSP Servers:

Apart from financial transactions, FMG processes Enrolment data submitted online. FMG carries out enrolment data validation, fingerprint de-duplication, upload of customer data to CBS for account generation and generating output files for TSPs.
New Logo added to US Customer List– March 2013
A leading technology firm head quartered in Atlanta, GA has selected Coromandel Infotech to design and develop a cloud based document management system using MOSS 2007. The application is created such that multiple companies can register with flexible storage spaces. Also, the companies can create, manage and allocate storage spaces to users.
Other features of the application include access through internet browsers as well as desktop application, scheduled backup / restoration of documents and user specific dashboard for storage / utilization details.
This innovative application development project will be completed under very compressed time lines using MOSS 2007, Asp.Net, .NET Framework 2.0, Web Services, SQL Server and SVN.
CIOSE selects InCise EAM to showcase on global platform– March 2013
InCise EAM has been selected by CIO Strategy Exchange (CIOSE) as one among the 8 #MadeInIndia product to be showcased on a global platform. The director of CIOSE, Ernest M. von Simson reviewed many applications that were submitted and chose 8 products to be showcased when he is here in Bangalore.
CIOSE received many applications from early stage technology start-ups to those who have spent few years in the industry, with exciting ideas across Big Data, Social Networking, Analytics, Healthcare, Education, Mobile Applications, Security, etc., during the one week period starting January 31, 2013 until February 8, 2013. The final 8, including InCise EAM, were selected after several rigorous rounds of screening by CIOSE.
The demo from these selected products will happen in Bangalore and the dates are yet to be announced.
C2IL bags a referential order from USA – February 2013
Coromandel Infotech has bagged an order for a referential web application development project from USA. The order is awarded by a premium creative services & advertising agency based out of North Carolina on behalf of its client, a contract research company providing a wide range of clinical research services for biotech and pharmaceutical clients globally.
The project scope includes design and development of web based interactive map application, wherein the consultants will work on Asp.Net, .NET 4.0, WCF Services, JSON, JQuery, amMaps (Javascript APIs) and SQL Server technologies. Handling huge data volume to summarize the data and showing real time interactively on map in a web page would be the two highlights of this project.
B K Birla Group Company chooses InCise EAM – February 2013
A BK Birla Group Company, based out of Rajasthan, India, has chosen InCise EAM, the Asset Lifecycle Management system from Coromandel Infotech, to streamline their plant maintenance process.
Upon thorough evaluation and assessment, InCise EAM was selected to take the performance and possibilities of asset management at the company to a higher level.

Solution Labs set up by C2IL for Oracle EBS & SAS – February 2013
Further to successfully establishing solution labs for Oracle EBS and SAS, skill upgradation training programmes were organized by C2IL for its associates.
Oracle India conducted 3 days of training on R12.x Oracle E-Business Suite Essentials for Implementers from 15th January 2013 to 17th January 2013. This initiative was undertaken to strengthen the Oracle Practice, by cross training resources across the organization.
20 consultants participated in the training programme and all the participants are now eligible for generic R12 certification from Oracle Corporation. The training had emphasis to hands on, solution design, best practices and a pilot implementation project.
In furtherance to the alliance partnership signed with SAS, a day-long event with 2 sessions on Visual Analytics was conducted by SAS.

Recruitment Drive @ C2IL – December 2012
December 2012 had been a busy month at Coromandel Infotech for hiring fresh and experienced talents across the board, wherein the Chennai office witnessed a steady stream of prospective candidates being interviewed for various positions.
As a part of the recruitment drive, Coromandel Infotech conducted a day long campus interview session, in association with NIIT, one of India’s premium software training institutions, on 8th December 2012. Over 50 candidates were interviewed during the day by the Technical Panel, comprising of five senior professionals from the Chennai GDC.
The event took place at NIIT’s Nungambakkam Centre and was organized by the talent acquisition team of Coromandel Infotech. In addition to this, the team has also synergized with HCL Career Development Centre, the training arm of HCL Infosystems, for sourcing talents.
Another recruitment drive was conducted between 20th and 22nd December 2012 for candidates from NIIT and HCL at our office in Manpakkam. Around 56 candidates were interviewed and the short-listing process is on for finalization of candidates.
C2IL expands its footprint in Middle East market – December 2012
The Middle East geography is focused as a crucial destination for future business growth for Coromandel Infotech. In line with its global expansion plans, the company has ramped up its presence in the Middle East market by striking new deals in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia respectively.
Coromandel Infotech will be undertaking a project in Kuwait for a leading petrochemical company to improve its warehouse operations with an objective to optimize resources used and reduce manual intervention.
In Saudi Arabia, further to increased business traction with sizeable revenue from consulting services and also sealing a strategic partnership, Mr. Mohammed Elias, AVP, Coromandel Infotech, visited the country to explore additional opportunities in the region.
Coromandel Infotech is happy to note there are a lot of promising leads and good pipeline of prospects in Middle East, which are due to close in the ensuing months.

Coromandel Infotech has entered into a strategic partnership with SAS, a leader in business analytics software and the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market. Coromandel Infotech wins UBI project – November 2012
Coromandel Infotech has won the project from Union Bank of India (UBI) for providing Financial Messaging Gateway Solution. In order to coordinate all the communication between various Financial Inclusion Technology Solution Providers (FI TSPs) of UBI with their Core Banking Solution through a single channel, the bank will use the messaging gateway solution from Coromandel Infotech.
Through this messaging gateway solution, all TSPs will connect to the gateway using a standard well-defined interface. This gateway will not only provide a single channel access to all FI applications but will also, enable implementation of common security features. The support for centralized biometric authentication and the ability to use NPCI to support UIDAI authentication and interbank transactions are some of the key features of the solution.

Mr. G Vijayakumar, Joint Vice President, Enterprise Application Services, made a presentation on ERP Extender PIP and Asset Lifecycle Management PIP at the “Scene and be heard” session of Oracle Open World on 1st October 2012.

Technical Training for BFSI Field Associates - August, 2012
